2025 Projects and Achievements
We are delighted to present the projects accomplished by RSHMU in the year 2025, most notably the construction of homes for vulnerable and needy families within our communities. These achievements reflect our continued commitment to improving lives, restoring dignity, and bringing hope to those in need through sustainable community support initiatives

01
Gerald and Doreen House
With hearts full of gratitude, we thank Almighty God for the blessing of 25th October 2025, a day of hope and transformation for Gerald and his sister Doreen.
On this day, they were handed the keys to their newly completed permanent home—a place of safety, dignity, and renewed hope for their future.
This life-changing house was made possible through the generous love and unwavering support of our dear friend from the United States, a Permanent Deacon from Rhode Island. Through his compassion and faith in this mission, a number of permanent houses have now been built for vulnerable children and families who once had no secure place to call home.
These miracles of love are realized through Rise and Shine Humanitarian Ministries Uganda (RSHMU) under the leadership of Bishop Robert Baluku Thawithemwira, OSB. Each house built is more than bricks and cement—it is a testimony that someone cares, that forgotten lives matter, and that hope can rise again.
Yet many more children and families are still waiting. We humbly appeal for continued humanitarian support in the form of clothing, shoes, soap, school fees, and other basic necessities. Your support can give another child a safe home, restore dignity, and light the path toward a brighter future.
Together, we can help hope rise.
02
Piggery Project
Rise and Shine Humanitarian Ministries Uganda (RSHMU) is delighted to share the progress of our Piggery Project for Widows and Orphans
This project was made possible through the generous and compassionate support of our dear friend from the United States, whose continued love for the vulnerable has transformed many lives.
Through this initiative, widows are empowered to provide food for their families, meet basic needs, and support their children’s education, while orphans gain a sustainable future. The project is implemented under Rise and Shine Humanitarian Ministries Uganda, led by Bishop Robert Baluku Thawithemwira, OSB. Every pig represents an opportunity for a family to rise out of extreme poverty and reclaim hope.
We humbly invite more friends and partners of goodwill to stand with us. Your support can help us expand this project and reach more widows and orphans who are still waiting for a chance to rebuild their lives.

03
Early Child Support
Under the Child Support Project, Rise and Shine Humanitarian Ministries Uganda (RSHMU) successfully held a Youth and Students Conference
The conference brought together young people from different denominations within our community. The conference ended with great success and renewed hope for our children.
During the sessions, students were guided on positive life values, discipline, and healthy lifestyles that can lead them toward a successful and responsible future. These teachings aimed to empower the youth to make informed choices and believe in their God-given potential. As part of our support, we distributed scholastic materials to help students continue their education and sanitary pads to school-going girls, ensuring they can attend school with confidence and proper hygiene.
However, the need remains great. Many girls in our community still lack access to sanitary pads, forcing some to miss school during their menstrual periods.
We humbly appeal to friends and partners of goodwill: your donation can help keep girls in school, protect their health. By supporting sanitary pads and scholastic materials, you help secure a brighter future for our children.
Donate today—help a girl stay in school with confidence and hope

RSHMU Skills Center
We thank Almighty God for His faithfulness and grace upon Rise and Shine Humanitarian Ministries Uganda (RSHMU)
What began as a vision has now become a living reality. With joyful hearts, we share the progress of the RSHMU Offices and Skills Center, constructed through the generous support of our great friend from the United States, a devoted Deacon.
Throughout the construction period, we witnessed God at work through the kindness, sacrifice, and generosity of His people. Today, we are blessed to announce that the offices and hall are occupied and operational. This important milestone brings us closer to the full operation of the offices, which will greatly strengthen coordination, planning, and service delivery to the vulnerable communities we serve.
In addition to administrative functions, the RSHMU offices also host a Skills Training Center for youth, offering practical training in tailoring and fashion design, carpentry, computer skills, music instruments, soap making, and driving. This center is designed to equip young people with life skills that promote self-reliance, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods.
We extend our deepest gratitude and blessings to our dear Deacon friend from the United States for this remarkable gift. Truly, God works through generous hearts. May the Lord protect you and reward your faithful service abundantly.
Our sincere appreciation also goes to Maic from Germany for the support and encouragement extended toward this project. Your contribution has helped transform this vision into a lasting foundation for ministry and community empowerment
