Piggery and Poultry Project

RSHMU has identified these two animal husbandry projects as quick ways to provide food and a substantial way to improve the livelihood of our people. Kasese District borders the Democratic Republic of the Congo where both pork and white meat are in high demand.

Some donations have recently allowed us to start this project, and as soon as RSHMU is able to gather about 65,000,000ugx ($20,967.74) we will be able to complete the swine houses and chicken houses as well as be able to purchase the pigs, chickens, feed and necessary livestock medicine.

When this project is fully operational, many of the school costs for our orphans can be funded to a large extent by the production from the eggs and pork products.
